The 4th annual Universal Auto and General Supplies cycle programme organized by national cycling coach Hassan Mohammed will pedal off this Saturday around the inner circuit of the National Park from 09:00hrs.
Nine races are carded for the day with the feature event being the Schoolboys and Novices’ 35-lap event. Last year’s winner Christopher Holder who completed the distance in a time of 1:30:18.37 is currently in Trinidad and Tobago competing in the West Indies versus Rest of the World meet.
Despite Holder’s absence, Alonzo Greaves, John Charles, Jaikarran Sukhai and Tyrone Conway are all capable of stellar performances but they can be ruthlessly tested by Tyrone Watts, Michael Nelson, Harry Simon and Jason Pollydore.
Add the under-45 veterans’ rivalry between Linden Blackman and Kennard Lovell and racing fans can expect a thrilling day of keen competition.
Manager of the sponsors and veteran cyclist Shameer Baksh along with his family will be on hand to present the winning cyclists with their prizes.
