Dear Editor,
I am happy that since a few of the pirates were caught some two weeks ago in neighbouring Suriname, the onslaughts on hard working, dedicated fishermen have ceased.
I am convinced that those caught are the ones that were creating havoc on the sea.
I hope that these defaulters will be severely dealt with in both Suriname and Guyana and the penalties would serve as a deterrent to all aspiring pirates.
My heart goes out to all the fishermen that were victims of this notorious gang and all the relatives that lost loved ones on the high seas.
