DeSinco Trading Limited became the latest business entity to join forces with the Georgetown Cricket Assoc-iation (GCA) when they handed over trophies and a cheque worth $350,000.00 for sponsorship of their Under-19 limited overs competition to the GCA on Friday.
At a simple presentation ceremony held in the office of the sponsors’ John and Sheriff Streets location, Human Resources Manager of DeSinco Trading Ltd., Nathely Mars, the company’s delight at being associated with the GCA.
“DeSinco Trading has proven by previous participations, their active and influential role in sporting activities be it cricket, football, track and field and more recently the Hugh Ross Bodybuilding and Fitness Classic competition.
“We at DeSinco Trading are always honoured to play a part in the inspiration of our younger generation who seek to pursue extra curricular activities and we have no hesitation in committing ourselves to go the whole nine yards to ensure such occurs,” Mars stated.
She added:”It is with such in mind that we join forces with the GCA in sponsoring their Under-19 limited overs competition that is presently underway and would like to extend to those involved, our best wishes.”
President of the GCA, Bish Panday, thanked the sponsors for coming on board and promised to have the competition run smoothly and efficiently in like manner to all the other competitions the GCA has run off before.
Ten (10) clubs affiliated to the GCA along with six (6) secondary schools in the Georgetown area, are taking part in the competition.
