A 52-year-old father of nine who allegedly indecently assaulted a young female was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Gregory George of 56 James Street, Albouystown was not required to plead to the charge of indecent assault when it was read to him by Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle.
It is alleged that on April 19 George indecently assaulted a young female.
According to reports, George was in a relationship with the mother of the child and on the day in question the child was left alone with him.
The child’s mother told the court that when she returned, her child came running out of the house crying and later told her what had happened.
George was remanded to prison and the matter will continue in Court Six on April 29.
