Dear Editor,
I’ll appreciate if you can give some answers, or at least get some to these concerns which I think may not be mine only.
1. Energy:
I was recently viewing a press conference (NCN: 08-04-15) with the President in which he spoke about refined crude oil and its heavy cost to Guyana in producing electricity. I would like to know if the President along with his cabinet ever thought of refining their strategies to stop doing feasibility studies about hydroelectricity projects and just get it done. Years ago, growing up I’ve been hearing about these studies. What is the problem?
2. Values
Can someone explain whose responsibility it is to filter music before it is allowed to be played on public airwaves? Can the authorities do something about the type of music allowed into Guyana much more played on air? Is this the kind of society we are nurturing?
