The Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) has selected the final squad for the Inter Guiana Games (IGG) Track and Field championships which are to be held in Suriname from May 1 – 4.
Lyndon Wilson has been named as the manager of the team while the coach is Mark Scott and Wendy Doris the chaperone.
A squad of 26 has been selected and will be in pursuit of capturing a title which was won the last time Guyana competed in 2006, even though they (Guyana) did not get to defend their title in 2007.
The team is as follows, males: Carlwyn Collins, Triston Joseph, Timothy Doris, Carlon Alley, Carlon Pitt, Mikael Williams, Obie Hadday, Ryan Crandon, Michael Bowman, Larie Campbell, Tyshon Bentick and Alamere Alexander.
Females: Letita Miles, Ianna Graham, Roxanna Rigby, Jonella Gomes, Natasha Doris, Lisa Bowan, Philliycia Burke, Jeventra Strayker, Carlissa Atkinson, Lashauna Benjamin, Tiffany Carter, Shabiki Prince and Dacia Smart.
The squad is scheduled to leave this Wednesday April 30.
