Thirty women cricketers have been selected to attend three one-day trial matches on May 15, 16 and 17 at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground Queenstown, commencing at 10:00hrs.
At the conclusion of the trials, 14 players along with six stand-bys will be short listed to begin preparations for the upcoming regional senior women’s cricket tournament scheduled for July-August.
The 30 players are:Marina Bridgemohan, Sabrina Munroe, Kumarie Persaud, Jacquelyn Singh, Olivia Selmo, Katyan Mentore, Judith Williams, Abena Parker, Althea Newark, Prudence Williams, Wazeeda Bacchus, Devanie Sewnarine, Desmona Hill, Joanne Van Sertima, Jessica Gonsalves, Zaheeda Samdally, Tracy Miller, Darlene Gale, Charmaine Campbell, Victoria Bacchus, Tremayne Smartt, Donette Richie, Nathasha Gangoo, Faye Franklin, Nikita Toney, Nalini Sumintra, Hermala Hewdatt, Anastasia Sampson, Erva Giddings and Haseema Mohamed.
