Exodus, Pressure Point, Rage and Frankies have all advanced to the Banks DIH sponsored Kazak Countrywide dominoes playoffs following victories in their respective zone finals played recently.
Exodus with 82 games beat Mean Machine 75 and A&J on the carpet 68 in the Georgetown zone one finals.
Junior Bailey top scored for Exodus with 16 games supported by Junior Smith and Michael Critchlow with 15 games each.
Noel Hunt scored 15 games for Mean Machine while Doodie Ramdeen and Ravi Persaud marked 17 and 14 games respectively for A&J.
Pressure Point was also in devastating form, scoring 83 games to get the better of Trouble Shooters and Impressers, both of whom recorded 72 games in the Georgetown zone two final.
Valarie Fortune made the maximum 18 games for Pressure Point while Rawle Henry and Orwin Chapman chipped in with 14 games each.
Selwyn Green and Peter McPherson scored 16 and 14 games respectively for Trouble Shooters while Emily Dodson and Neibert Hale scored 14 games each for Impressers .
Lavern Duguid of Impressers was the lone love bird.
Rage with 78 games are the latest Georgetown Zone winners following their win over NCN 77 and Turning Point ‘B’ 77 in zone three.
Aubrey Jackson marked the maximum 18 games for the winners with Derek Lambert and Winston Stephens supporting with 14 games each.
For NCN, Rene Stoby chalked up 17 games and Linden Freeman 15, while Colin and Corenna McEwan scored 16 and 14 games each for Turning Point ‘B’.
Gillian Hyman of Rage was the lone love bird.
Frankies became the first team for West Demerara to advance to the playoffs when they won West Bank zone one scoring 81 games to beat Traders with 67 and Lumber Reform 60 in third.
Colin Boyce made 17 games and Clyde Henry 16 for Frankies, while R. Larkan top scored Traders and Delon George for Lumber Reform with 16 games each.
The love birds were Gerald Henry of Frankies, A. Persaud of Traders and Philip Joseph and Mohan Manawar of Lumber Reform.
The East Coast Demerara zone one will kick off today at Dublin’s Place at Melanie Damishana from 13:00 hours and will involve teams from Melanie to Mahaica.
East Coast zone two will be contested at Bassant Shop and will involve teams from Ogle to Lusignan.
The tournament will also get cracking in Linden and Berbice shortly.
The two-day playoff will take place on June 7 and 8 at Banks DIH Sports Club at Thirst Park.
