A brilliant century from Berbician Jonathon Foo may have impressed the selectors present but came a tad too late to save his team in their second inning.
Royston Alkins’s side after resuming from their overnight score of 85 – 5 reached to 140 all out before lunch in the second Under-19 Trial match at Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary yesterday.
Alkins’s side was rooted out 44 minutes before lunch losing by an inning and 30 runs and the selectors decided to send them out to bat again and they reached 262 – 8 at the shelving of the match two minutes before four o’ clock.
Balbindra Persaud resuming from his overnight score added three runs to reach 30 before being dismissed and he received support from Alex Amsterdam who contributed 19.
