Dear Editor,
In reporting the new park for minibuses you mentioned Cornhill Street and give the impression that Cornhill Street runs north to south. However, as I understand it Cornhill Street is the one that runs east to west just over Lombard Street and passes in front of the Coop Bank. The one that goes north to south and passes in front of Demico House is Cornwall Street.
Kindly check your map to see if I am correct.
At this point allow me to offer my heartfelt sympathy to Maggie Maloney on the death of her son.
I was on the NA stelling on my way to Suriname when I got hold of a copy of Stabroek News and read of the murder. What the young 21-year-old man did would have been done by any other son trying to protect his mother.
Maggie in your sorrow and pain please see your son as being a hero like Edward Calder and Ronald Ram.
I pray for the Lord to ease your pain.
