Dear Editor,
United Associates Security & Domestic Services Inc (UASDS) has a fortnight’s pay for temporary guards and overtime payment for permanent guards who worked from February 16-29, which has not been given to us.
(RK’s Security took over most of the contracts from UASDS from March 1.)
They do not have the common courtesy to come and tell us anything but are only making promises to come The paymaster came on March 18 and only brought payment for Gecom and Courts guards, but even they were only paid for the period of a fortnight instead of for the whole month. This we feel is inhumane. Also nothing came for the temporary guards. How must these people make out with bills to pay and children who have to attend school to maintain? We, the permanent guards who were taken over by UASDS from the Region 7 Administration are looking forward to our benefits such as severance pay, because we were taken over. What about our NIS contributions which were not paid to NIS? We cannot let the guard service rob us of our hard-earned money. We were also robbed from a welfare fund they were running. Some of us got and others did not get a penny up to now.
Yours faithfully,
(Name and address provided)
