Cabinet has given its no-objections to a number of contracts for rural development including one for the Black Bush Polder Road.
According to a Government Information Agency press release a 138,563 pound sterling award has been green-lighted for rural development for a consultancy for economic analysis, environmental assessment and design study for the Black Bush Polder main road. In education a US$43,300 contract has been given the go-ahead for the printing of chequered exercise books and work books for Grade One for the first, second and third terms.
Meanwhile, in the security sector no-objections have been made for an $81.8M award for the supply of stationery, field material and janitorial supplies for the home affairs ministry. In the health sector, an award valued $76.9M was green-lighted for the procurement of medical equipment for the Lethem and Mabaruma district hospitals. Also, no objections were given to an $18.8M award for the supply, delivery and installation of computer equipment at the health ministry.
