Central Housing wins female dominoes series


Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA), with an overall tally of 234 games, stamped its authority on Banks DIH with 206 and Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC) with 196 games, to win the three-way aggregate female dominoes series when the curtain came down on the tournament Friday evening at Thirst Park.

The victorious Central Housing and Planning Authority female domines team which won the three-way aggregate series  from Banks DIH and Geology and Mines female teams.Tied on 150 points with Banks DIH at the end of the second round with GGMC way behind on 118, CH&PA scored a runaway victory in the final leg spearheaded by a fine performance by Sharon Baker who marked the maximum 18 games and was later named Most Valuable Player of the final.
CH&PA’s 84 games won the third leg with GGMC securing 78 while home side Banks DIH ended on the carpet with 56.

Apart from Barker, Germene Stewart marked 15 games while Lavern Benfield, Beverly McDonald and Paula McKenzie each marked 13 games for the winners.
Roxanne Luckie also marked the maximum 18 games with support coming from Suzette Dannett with 17 and Angela Beaton 14.
Sharon Douglas was the leading scorer for Banks with 14 games.
CH&PA for the effort carted off the Banks DIH Trophy, with Banks securing the Geology and Mines Trophy while CH&PA donated a trophy for third place.

Barker’s  Most  Valuable Player trophy was donated by Troy Peters, communications manager of Banks DIH.
The male players of the three organizations are expected to meet shortly in a three-way series.
