A policeman attached to the Brickdam Impact base accidentally shot himself in the foot while at the Timehri Police station yesterday and was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).
The rank was identified as Corporal Johnson.
It is unclear how he managed to shoot himself in the left foot.
Following the incident, he was taken to the GPH, where he was treated and admitted to Ward A2 of the medical institution.
