Dear Editor,
I find it shocking that special prosecutors were ap-pointed in many cases before the Magistrate’s Court, yet there is no word on an outstanding application from the Roman Catholic Church for a special prosecutor for the insurance fraud case concerning the Sacred Heart Church.
The Roman Catholic Church should continue to press for a special prosecutor. They should mount a peaceful picketing exercise outside of the Office of the DPP demanding an answer to their request. They should ask other civic groupings to join them in this exercise. I am confident that thousands of Guyanese will turn out to support such a peaceful exercise.
Yours faithfully,
