A 34-year-old man who allegedly stole a bicycle was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Luis Richmond, a US-deportee, pleaded not guilty to the charge of simple larceny.
It is alleged that on May 25 at Camp Street he stole one bicycle valued $13,000 from Mathew Mc Colman.
Richmond told Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle that he had no fixed place of abode to which she replied, “Well, I’ll find one for you, I’ll find one for you,” adding, “at Lot 12 Camp Street.”
Richmond, a father of two, said he was a ‘vendor assistant’ at the Bourda Market. He was remanded to prison until Friday.
