Dear Editor,
I usually pay the yearly water rate charges in advance for my younger sister Shaundra Persaud, who lives at Lot 9 Section ‘B’ and this was done at the Anna Regina Office of Guyana Water Inc since January 24, last (receipt No 20106100).At no time whatsoever did I make part payment, and for sure nothing is owing with full settlement being made up to the end of this year. Strangely enough a bill was sent a few days ago with figures showing a brought forward balance of $1,169.00 with the total amount now due being $15,104.00.
Several other customers are said to be faced with the same predicament.
