Winner of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Independence Queen domino competition Karen Adams will be presented with her trophy at 3.45pm today in the Ministry’s compound.
Adams, who is employed at the General Registrar’s Office, won the competition which was sponsored by Banks DIH Ltd and Medrick Short and Sons and held on May 23.
In the finals, Adams made the maximum 18 games to secure victory ahead of Beverly Nedd with 13 games and Coretta Jones, from the Finance Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs who gained nine games.
Meanwhile there will be a 12-team competition on Sunday at the Onassis Club, Bagotstown from 1pm.
Teams will compete for the Bakewell trophy while there will also be a Queen domino competition for players over 40 years of age.
