Twenty senior female cricketers have been shortlisted to continue training with a view to represent Guyana in the upcoming regional cricket tournament.
The tournament will be held from August 3 – 16, in Jamaica.
The players are requested to contact the Secretary of their respective county boards for instructions on their preparation routine for June and the proposed programme for July.
The final 13-member squad is expected to be announced by July 7.
According to a release, the training programme is acompulsory element that will help the selectors decide on the final 13 players.
The players shortlisted are:Marina Bridgemohan, Kumarie Persaud,Olivia O’Selmo,Prudence Williams,Wazeeda Bacchus,Desmona Hill,Zaheeda Samdally,Tracy Miller,Sharmaine Campbell, Nathasha Gangoo,Nikita Toney,Erva Giddings, Sabrina Munroe,Abena Parker, Devanie Sewnarine, Joanne Van Sertima, Darlene Gale,Tremayne Smartt and Nalini Sumintra.
