Dear Editor,
I have read the arguments on the question of these so-called vicious dogs, the pit bulls. What I would like to know is which dog that is under regulated supervision is not vicious, even the creole ones which sometimes are referred to as ‘Kangalas’ when they have enjoyed some sort of unrestricted freedom. How many persons have not been bitten by dogs on the loose on the streets – even the stray ones. Sometimes accidents were caused by these dogs’ aggressive behaviour. Pit bulls are no exception; they became prominent because of recent incidents which were all due to improper security. These canines are very strong and cannot be easily fended off.
