Thank you on behalf of my family for the obituary on my father, Neville James Bissember, published in your edition of June 1 last; we did appreciate this very much.
I would like however to correct two small factual errors and an additional point contained therein, these being:
i) my parents were indeed married in 1954 but not on April 1;
ii), the Prime Minister Forbes Burnham’s car was PR1: Dr Reid’s was PR 2 and my father’s PR3;
iii) the initiative conveying the offer of 4 out of 10 seats on the Council of Ministers to the PNC was not my father’s but the PPP’s, offered to the PNC through my father, as noted by Dr Jagan in The West on Trial.
