Four games were contested at the Agricola Playing Field on May 30 where First Street lost to Second Street, Scheme Boys defeated Last Street, First Street in their second match lost to Last Street and Scheme Boys pulled off a victory against Second Street.
In the first match between First Street and Second Street, neither team could score in the 30 minutes encounter, thus taking them to a dreaded penalty shoot out where First Street got a scratch on the board, but in the end it was the two goals scored by Second Street’s kickers that ended the match 2-1in their favor.
Game two saw another penalty shoot out and it ended in Scheme Boys’ favor as they won against Last Street also by a 2 – 1 margin.
Game three had an old fashion football finish as Last Street bounced back from their defeat to be victorious against First Street with a 1 – 0 result, whilst Second Street playing in the final game of the day lost 3-2 to Scheme Boys in a penalty shoot out as both teams failed to find the back of the net during regulation time.
The competition will continue this weekend at the same venue.
