Two men were yesterday remanded by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton when they appeared on separate charges of robbery under arms and possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
Twenty-one-year-old Odel Anthony Smartt of 12 Princes Street, Lodge allegedly robbed Omar Mohammed of $230,000 on Saturday June 14. Smartt was at the centre of a hair-raising chase by the police on Saturday during which he was shot.
And 36-year-old Kirk Brown of 610 East Ruimveldt allegedly had in his possession on the same day, 61.36 kilogrammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
Smart was remanded until July 2 while Brown was remanded until August 22.
