Dear Editor,
Kindly allow me to offer my heartfelt sympathy to Mr Arokium and others whose relatives were murdered at the Lindo Creek camp; further I wish to state categorically that members of the Joint Services were in no way involved in that act; their training and military morality prevents them from behaving in such a manner.
The deed itself is revolting; but more so is the silence of former members of the force, including officers, who have not seen it fit to debunk those accusations hurled against the force in which they once served.
The party which once referred to the GDF as their kith and kin has called for an enquiry; that is good. However, they have not sought to squash accusations that the Joint Services were involved.
Finally, the Joint Services must leave no stone unturned in their efforts to get to the root of the matter; the credibility of the force demands that they do.
Yours faithfully,
