Dear Editor,
First, the government should pay more attention to the letter writers to find out what the people are saying.
They may learn something. Second, I agree with letter writer Mr KA Juman-Yassin that a few ministers seem to be doing an outstanding job, mainly, Ms Priya Manickchand, Dr Ramsammy, Dr Frank Anthony and Mr Robert Persaud. Similarly, Chancellor Carl Singh and Chief Justice Ian Chang. If the President had more people like these, he would have a more effective government. Third, Mr Rohee seems to be in the wrong job. He or a qualified aide should be on top of security operations at all times and should never not know current status, even if some things cannot be disclosed. The public must have timely and accurate information from one source to avoid the current conflicting statements that are now the norm. Why is it so hard for the President not to see that issuing timely, accurate and as complete as possible information is absolutely necessary to avoid most of the anti-government charges that currently exist?
Yours faithfully,
