Bank of Guyana (BOG) and Neal and Massy Guyana Group (N&M) shared the honours when the curtain came down on the three-way managers’ indoor sports series which also featured Republic Bank Ltd.
On the final night of competition at RBL Sports Club at Waterloo Street Friday, BOG continued its dominance by winning the three-way aggregate dominoes series while Neal and Massy secured victory at table tennis.
BOG with 79 games won the final leg to finish with an overall tally of 235 games beating into second position Neal and Massy who recorded 74 games for a final total of 227 games while host RBL ended on the carpet with 69 games and a final total of 211 games.
Imran Khan led the way for BOG with the maximum 18 games with E. Legall supporting with 15 while Nicola James and Wilfred Austin scored 13 games each.
Stanley Fung-a-Fat led for N&M with 15 games while Natasha Fitzpatrick and Charles Sookram chipped in with 13 games each.
Ranol Narine and Terrance Archer recorded 16 and 15 games respectively for RBL.
Archer was voted the best male player on show scoring 48 games in the series while Fitzpatrick was the best female player on show with 45 games.
In the table tennis showdown, Neal and Massy scored a 3-0 victory over Republic Bank with Ryan Basdeo beating Raymond Sookdeo 11-6, 11-7, Travis Gomes getting the better of Javed Khan 11-7, 11-8 and Jerry Randolph defeating Anthony Singh 12-10, 8-11, 11-9.
Both teams had beaten Bank of Guyana in the preliminary rounds.
RBL’s Managing Director, Edward H. Gooding, who assisted in the presentation of prizes, said the series was enjoyable and he challenged the organizers to coordinate similar activities to foster goodwill among corporate Guyana.
