Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday denied bail to a man accused of robbing two persons of cash and jewellery amounting to $134,800.
Brian Swartz was not required to plead to indictable charges of robbery with aggravation and larceny from the person when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that on July 4, Swartz together with others robbed Kumar Ganpat of a quantity of cash and jewellery worth $74,800.
He is also accused of stealing one gold band valued $60,000 from Sandra Mootoo on July 6.
Swartz was ordered to appear in Court One on July 24.
