Linden men remanded on ganja charge

Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday remanded two Linden men accused of having a quantity of narcotics in their possession.

Paul Couchman and Rudolph Couchman of 5 Christiansburg, Linden, both pleaded not guilty to charge of unlawful possession of a quantity of cannabis when they appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court. Paul Couchman was also charged with planting a prohibited substance; cannabis, at the said address.

It is alleged that on July 15, at the same location, the men had in their possession 1 kilogramme of cannabis. According to reports, Paul Couchman also had cannabis plants in his possession.
The men were ordered to appear at the Christiansburg Magistrate’s Court on July 22.
