Dear Editor,
I have read Mr Eusi Kwayana’s letter, ‘The phrase “elected dictatorship” was used in relation to the government’s veto of 39 EU micro-funded projects, not their delay’ (SN, July 22).
What depth! What insight!
It is a special blessing to note that at his age he is still so very enthusiastically attuned to what is going on in Guyana’s day-to-day existence. He is an archive of integrity. In these times of seeming political dilemmas and national challenges, he should be appointed elder statesman and given the authority of counsellor to the nation on all matters pertaining to good, decent and honest governance.
Isn’t he a candidate for the Order of Liberation, yet; or does this recognition only come posthumously?
Yours faithfully,
Pastor Kwesi Oginga
