The Shankland’s Resort has been put up for sale. According to an advertisement on a website the asking price is US$800,000.
The ad described Shanklands Rainforest Nature Resort as a transported, 98 acres, comprising 83 acres pristine forests, 15 acres rolling lawns, with hiking and biking trails.
The ad said that there was a wide variety of flora and fauna there, including plants with medicinal value. The ad listed accommodation and equipment that were included in the sale. It said that other resources included an estimated 220,000 tons of grade A granite below the surface.
Shanklands, owned by Max and Jo Anne Jardim, is located up the Essequibo River.
