I just read Mr Christopher Ram’s letter captioned “New GPC has not made full disclosure” (08.08.10) and I am in total agreement with him on the issues he wrote about. The government is behaving like it holds transport over all Guyana and nobody must question its authority in dispensing favours.
Corruption has been there from the start of the PPP’s reign and it does not like comments from anyone who does not agree with them.
So much has been said about the New GPC and its ability to manufacture the medical needs of Guyana. In my opinion it still is a small operation despite its principals’ disclosures about its size and what it can do. It is not surprising to note that a top functionary of the hospital sits on its board. Guyana will continue to import huge amounts of medicines despite GPC’s presence in Guyana.
