Dear Editor,
The Essequibo Coast has somehow managed to remain clean and free of garbage compared with other parts of the country especially the east coast, Demerara.
But what is so sickening is the daily dumping of garbage at the wharf at Charity and Supenaam, all the garbage eventually gets into the river.
I am calling on the relevant authority to do something about this reckless disposal of garbage into our rivers. Attached is a picture taken at Charity.
Yours faithfully,
Vincent Ferreira
