With respect to the article, “Deferring of EPA signing on the horizon”, published on the 12th August, 2008 in your newspaper kindly note that the text of the CARIFOCUM-EC Economic Partnership Agreement is available in all the official languages of the European Union.
The EU Council of Ministers has authorized signature that is due to take place on 2nd September, 2008 in Barbados. From the European Union’s side there is no obstacle preventing a signature of the Economic Partnership Agreement with CARIFORUM.
