The police have arrested one of their own for allegedly stealing a cellular phone from an outgoing passenger at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri.
According to a police release, a member of the Special Constabulary who was on duty at the scanner at the airport was arrested last Friday after he allegedly stole a cellular phone from an outgoing passenger bound for the United States.
Meanwhile, another police officer has also been arrested for allegedly taking a bribe while manning a roadblock on the East Bank.
