President Bharrat Jagdeo will attend Suriname’s national forestry consultation to share experiences on the potential to derive substantial income from the rainforests in the region.
Jagdeo told the media yesterday that he was going to Suriname on Monday at the invitation of President Ronald Venetiaan.
He felt his participation would be a good experience given the work Guyana has undertaken in this sector and he would be using the knowledge gained to share at an upcoming meeting in Poland that would deal with the preservation of rainforests.
