Justice Ian Chang yesterday granted an ex parte injunction in favour of the TCL Guyana Inc barring the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) from publishing or attempting to publish a press release dated September 12, in which it claimed it was investigating TCL’s product.
According to the High Court document, GNBS head Dr Chatterpaul Ramcharran and the GNBS were listed as the defendants in the matter.
It further ordered that the defendants, whether by themselves, their servants or agents, recall the press release in question.
GNBS is to abide by the orders until the hearing and determination of the matter, which will continue on September 26.
