The Alliance for Change (AFC) is reiterating its call for Guyanese and West Indies star batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul to be granted a national award higher than the Golden Arrow of Achievement (AA) bestowed on him a month ago.
Extending congratulations to the Guyanese left hander on his achievement on being named the International Cricket Council’s Cricketer of the Year, AFC Leader Raphael Trotman said: “Shiv has made us all proud once again and we hail his monumental achievements and the humble and dedicated way in which he has gone about establishing a sterling cricketing career.”
“We reiterate our recent call for Shivnarine Chanderpaul to be properly recognized in Guyana with a national award higher than the AA that was hurriedly given to him a month ago,” Trotman said at a press conference held at the Sidewalk Café on Friday.
