New GPC Inc. Marketing Manager Trevor Bassoo, who presented the prizes to the top performers, said he was impressed to see players of all ages participating in the tournament and urged them to continue to play the sport.
He said New GPC Inc. was pleased to sponsor the tournament and pledged its continued support. Club captain Jerome Khan expressed gratitude to New GPC Inc. for its continued support to golf and also noted that several persons had signed up to be members while a few former members had returned which indicated that there was a renewed interest in the sport locally.
Four other major tournaments are lined up for the next four weeks, Khan disclosed with Muneshwars Ltd. sponsoring next week-end’s competition.
The other sponsors lined up are Roti Hut, European Union (EU) and Ansa McAl.
