Dear Editor,
With regard to the Gilhuys matter, you have to ask why it had to be placed in the DPP’s hands in the first place. Why did the police investigators not use the policemen present at the incident in its investigations to seal the matter? This case should have been as clear-cut as the light of day. And what about the shells and bullets fired? Could they not be found and matched to the slug that pierced George’s body? The force claims that it has matched shells in the deep reaches of the interior allegedly used by the ‘Fineman’ Rawlins gang. Why is it so difficult now to so do from a shooting in Woolford Avenue, Georgetown?
Yours faithfully,
Jack Palmer
