Nine persons won the gift voucher of $10, 000 and a flash drive, while four persons won the school bags and four others the I-Pods.
The CEO of the Neal and Massy Guyana Group, Deo Persaud who was also present at the presentation donated a fully equipped computer system to the Essequibo Islands Secondary computer laboratory. A representative from this school stated that in the past they had only four computers to work with, which had hampered many students from writing Information Technology as a subject at the Secondary level and that since then many other companies had helped in donating a few of the much needed computers. “Our school can now send four more students for CSEC Information Technology next year and that is a step forward” said the representative. Persaud stated that this presentation was only one of the many education-related activities that the company’s continues to be involved in.
