A 34-year-old labourer was yesterday sentenced to 18 months in prison after he admitted attempting to commit a felony when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Mark Smith of 2094 Nutmeg Street, Festival City had attempted to steal a shoulder bag valued $10,000 from Iris Thom, on September 20 at Camp Street, Georgetown.
Smith pleaded guilty to the offence when it was read to him.
