Dear Editor,
I was beginning to feel depressed and hopeless as it began to seem that there was no voice left in Guyana to look out for the down-trodden and the less fortunate. Then I read about Lincoln Lewis and I began to hope again. My hope was that he would be protected from harm. He has the voice the country needs to keep the truth exposed.
Also Tacuma Ogunseye and of course Brother Kwayana and a few others like Mark Benschop.
If the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing, then evil will fail in Guyana as long as these men are alive.
They obviously are not going to stand by idly and allow the basic human rights and dignity of a large segment of Guyanese to be trampled on by anyone, much less the government which is supposed to be safeguarding those rights.
In a not unrelated subject, Mr Editor, I think that despite the fact that the so-called investigations into the Lindo Creek massacre are still “ongoing,” now that Rawlins and Charles have been killed the voice of the accused has been silenced.
Yours faithfully,
Stafford Wills
