With an increase in participation, tomorrow’s much-anticipated Roti Hut sponsored Stableford Golf tournament promises to be another intriguing affair at the Lusignan Golf Course.
According to Club Captain Jerome Khan, 38 golfers participated in last weekend’s tournament and he anticipates a similar number this weekend.
This is the second year that Roti Hut is sponsoring the tournament and the organizers say it will be another close affair.
Among the other golfers billed to compete are last week’s winner of the Muneshwer’s Ltd. sponsored tournament Robert Hanoman.
The field will also include Joann Deo, Maurice Solomon, Christine Sukhram, Gavin Todd, Clifford Reis, Patrick Prashad, Esau Shamshudin, Chatterpaul Deo, Mike Mangal, Mark Lashley, Colin Ming, Imran Khan, Mel Sankies, Lester Alvis, Carlos Adams, Melissa Humphrey, Ronald Bulkhan, Avinda Kishore, Bolaram Deo, Dr. Ram Singh, Jorge Medina, Jerome Khan, and Albert Semple.
Roti Hut Supervisor Azeem Das is expected to present the prizes to the top performers at the end of the tournament.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers as well as Closest to the Pin.
Registration will close today at 16:00 hours and interested players can register by calling the bar at telephone number 220-5660.
Assembly time is 12:20 for a briefing before the actual Tee off at 12:30 hours.
Meanwhile, the Executive of the Lusignan Golf Club will meet this afternoon to fine-tune arrangements for the Annual Guyana Open scheduled for the first weekend in November.
The meeting will take place at the Georgetown Club starting at 16:30 hours.
