Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited recently made two senior appointments in to its management team.
In a press release the Bank said Michelle Johnson was appointed Manager, Market-ing and Communications on September 21 following a banking career of just over 20 years. Prior to this appointment Johnson held the post of Communication and Public Relations Officer from January 2001. She holds a Master of Arts degree with distinction, in Corporate Communication from Bournemouth University in the UK; is a graduate and professional member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations also of the UK, and has a Bachelor’s degree with credit in Business Manage-ment from the University of Guyana.
The Bank said too Carla Roberts joined the team of Corporate Credit Managers on September 15. Roberts is “bringing invaluable experience to her new assignment gained from wide ranging exposure to the Bank’s processes” during her tenure which started on September 26, 1988.
According to the release Roberts’s strength lies in Customer Service, particularly in the credit function where she has held various middle-management and senior positions over the past 11 years. Roberts holds a Bachelors of Science degree with credit in Accountancy from the University of Guyana and is currently concluding studies towards becoming a Certified Chartered Accountant.
The Board of Directors and Management welcome Johnson and Roberts to the management team and extend best wishes for their continued success.
