Two men are now in police custody after one of them took an unlicensed gun into the Port Kaituma Police Station claiming that it had dropped from the waist of the other man with whom he had an altercation.
However, he was promptly arrested after the other man gave a different version of the incident.
A release from the police said that around 8 am yesterday the miner took the .32 pistol along with two matching rounds to the station and said it had fallen out of the waist of a man he had an altercation with on Friday last at Eye Lash Backdam.
