Cyclists preparing for the second annual ‘Ride for Life’ Tour of Guyana will have the perfect opportunity to
do so when the Roraima Bikers Club (RBC) runs off its 13th annual Troy Humphrey/James Fowler cycling extravaganza around the streets of Amelia’s Ward, Linden on Sunday.
The event was previously held around the inner circuit of the National Park but the organizers opted for a change in venue for this year’s event and to that extent, will provide transportation for cyclists interested in competing in this year’s event which commences from 1000hrs.
Prior to his demise, Humphrey was an active member of the RBC and one of the country’s leading junior cyclist.
Transportation will leave Humphrey’s Bakery and Farm Products, Ketley Street from 0830hrs sharp and riders are expected from Anguilla to compete in the event.
Alonzo Greaves and Geron Williams are the defending champions in the senior (30-lap) and junior (21 lap) categories.
