A 16-year-old boy died on the Pouderoyen public road, West Bank Demerara early Wednesday morning after being struck down by a mini-bus.
Dead is Delroy McLeod of Pouderoyen.
According to a police press release investigations have revealed that around 2:30 am McLeod was walking along the roadway when he was struck down by a mini bus, the driver of which drove away from the scene of the accident. McLeod was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are continuing their investigations.
