Dear Editor,
I appreciate the few words that President Jagdeo said when he indicated that he supported Barack Obama for the next President of the United States. It was not until 1955, when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat in a bus to a white person, that the modern Civil Rights Movement was born. We all know of the struggle that was led by Martin Luther King for freedom.
I support Barack Obama; I support Barack Obama’s policy. Obama’s policy is different from McCain’s policy. The diaspora needs Obama’s policy, and for them to get that policy they have to go to the polls in numbers and vote for Barack Obama.
Yours faithfully,
B. Darnley
