At the Springlands Court on Thursday, Magistrate Chandra Sohan remanded a 15-year-old of Line Path, Skeldon into the custody of the police after he was charged with murdering an 18-year-old labourer.
The court heard that on Sunday, November 2 at around 11:40 pm at Line Path, Skeldon the teen murdered Keron Caldeira. He was not required to plead to the indictable offence.
Reports are that the teen used a knife to wound Caldeira on his neck during an argument over a pair of boots.
Caldeira was rushed to the Skeldon Hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
