Wins for Farm ‘B’ and Triumph

The annual Bakewell-sponsored Muslim Youth Organization (MYO) of Guyana limited overs Inter-Jamaat softball round robin cricket competition continued last week-end at the MYO ground, Woolford Avenue, Thomas Lands, Georgetown with wins for Farm ‘B’ and Triumph.

Farm ‘B’ were hardly made to sweat when they clashed with New Mosque thanks to a superb game with the bat by Shoaib Mohamed.

Farm `B’ took first strike and made 177-3 in their allotted 15 overs with Mohamed blasting 65 not out and Mark Khan 31.

Bowling for New Mosque, Altaf Samaroo and Imran Baksh took one wicket apiece.

New Mosque, in reply, were dismissed for 159 with Marlon Rodrigues making 33 and Abu Bakr 19.

Intikhab Mohamed was the pick of the bowlers for Farm ‘B’ snaring four wickets while Rayaz Khan took three and Mark Khan, two.

Meanwhile, in the other match, Triumph was triumphant over Diamond New scheme.

Batting first, Triumph posted a massive score of 238-6 in their allotted overs.
Shazim Mohamed was the man of the moment for Triumph slamming 95 while Trevor Baksh chipped in with 30.

Bowling for Diamond New Scheme, B. Yacoob took two wickets.

Diamond New Scheme could only muster 84 all out in their reply with Faizul Khan hitting 18.

Bowling for Triumph, Aslam Khan and Ajay Khan, took three wickets each while Trevor Baksh and Azim Mohamed took two wickets each.
